In 2008, ULPFA will be developing a school education program focused to help underprivileged youths understand the benefits of preserving the environment. We provide these youths access to outdoor camps and environmental study materials.
One of our premier projects will focus on maintaining green space along the Potomac River, in the Northern part of Virginia. This project will pinpoint research areas for multiple local colleges as well as restrict the rampant felling of trees and destruction of undeveloped land along the river. Aside from protecting land that is being destroyed, the ULPFA also spends time maintaining preserved land for future enjoyment.
With all of our projects, land purchases, and awareness campaigns, we are one hundred percent committed to keeping all of our projects open to the public. The installment of educational materials for youth centers and grade schools will reinforce our goal so that future generations will be committed to protecting the environment.
ULPFA takes on projects that have a great deal of value to the communities with which they are in. If you have a local project you would like to see us work on, please email us. You are our eyes and ears within the community, and it is critical that your feedback be taken very seriously.
