Education is a key pillar of our work because at ULPFA we understand that conservation alone is not enough. We recognize the importance of educating adults and, particularly, youth (future generations) about the value of conservation and preservation, about the natural beauty that surrounds us, and about the ways that they can contribute to a sustainable world (through recycling, reducing waste, keep their communities clean, planting trees, preserving open spaces, etc.). We want youth to establish a personal connection with the world around them and with their environment.

Our comprehensive educational approach includes Outdoor, Environmental Camps offering Summer and Winter Sessions as well as ongoing educational programs.

ULPFA Summer Camp Opportunities

ULPFA Winter Camp Opportunities

ULPFA’s Ongoing Environmental Education Programs – Through these programs, we reach youth and adults engaged at various levels. Spanning from field trips for elementary-aged youth to high-level research for undergraduate and graduate-level college students, ULPFA bolsters environmental education opportunities. We are committed to providing such educational opportunities at no cost to the students (youth or adults). Funds raised for these programs will go toward equipment, clean up projects, materials and other educational resources needed to expand our reach.

A key aspect of all of our educational work is a commitment to providing urban city-dwellers (primarily youth) with opportunities to explore the outdoors and to experience the beauty of nature. Youth in large cities typically lack these opportunities, which are critical to their ability to understand and cherish the environment. Your support keeps these programs free of charge to youth, allowing more and more youth to participate.
